In January, Ryan hurt his shoulder at work and has been in a lot of pain. After an MRI, X-Rays, and other tests, including wearing a sling. It was decided that he need to have surgery. His surgery was completed by Dr Matthew Poulsen at the Grove Creek Surgical Center in Pleasant Grove. The surgery was a success, but the tear in his Rotater cuff, was a so much larger than they expected. He also cleaned up some other areas on his shoulder, shave some bone that was rubbing and remove the bursa sack. He went in for surgery at 8:45 and was prepped for surgery. He received a nerve block in right shoulder, after which he started dry heaving and completely passed out. They said his blood pressure really dropped due to his vagel reflex. It was experience. The surgery took about 1.5 hours and went really well. After surgery, he struggled waking up and threw up multiple times. The recovery has been rough and painful, but will be well worth it once it is all healed.
